Since the beginning of June 2008 our new wine restaurant welcomes you amidst the wonderful vineyards of Ruedesheim and invites you to relax and enjoy.
Situated by the old rack railway it has a beautiful terrace with an unforgettable view over the roofs of Ruedesheim as far as the neighbouring county Rheinland-Pfalz.
Enjoy our Riesling- and Spaetburgunder (pinot noir) wines in this incomparable atmosphere accompanied by hearty yet sophisticated regional specialities.
Recently the Ruedesheimer "Tempel-Tropfen" ("temple drop") has been introduced in our winery. This is a wine especially created and bottled to assist the rebuilding of the Goethe-temple on the Niederwald forest. For each served bottle 1 Euro flows into the fund of the temple association.
"Domus Torculorum" is Latin and means Domus=roman house, Torculorum=Torggel or Trokel, a grape press already known to the Romans, in use until the middle ages. |
